Well I haven't updated in a while so I thought I should. Last week I was in Atlanta for a training for work. That's where my brother Jason and his family live so I stayed over the weekend and Josh, and Matt and Megan also came to visit over the weekend. So we had a nice weekend in Atlanta with all the kids in the family. We just had a nice weekend exploring the city. We went to the Coke Factory downtown and went and climbed Stone Mountain which is the picture you see here. I've put a couple other pictures from the weekend below. It was really nice to see everyone especially my nieces. We are going to try to get together more through out the year like this since we all live so far apart. Nothing else really going on. We're getting ready for Kelley's Wedding coming up. Not sure if I told everyone but my best friend Kelly and Buck got engaged over Christmas and she asked me to be her maid of honor and we went last weekend to go pick out dresses and stuff. They are getting married in November. Nothing much else coming up besides going to Tampa for Spring Break. Josh's break is the first week in April so we will be going to Florida for the week and staying at Matt's place. Ok well that's it from here. This weekend my time will be filled with birthday stuff. My girlfriend Parrish's son's birthday party is Saturday afternoon, then we are going out for dinner and drinks Saturday night for our friend Jason's birthday. Then Sunday is my niece Olivia's 3rd birthday party. Well I will see most of you down at Kelley's Wedding in a couple weeks. Can't Wait!!!

Well I have a free minute so I thought I would update about Florida. We headed down to Atlanta on the 22nd and visited with my brother Jason and his family and my parents. We got to see baby Caeley for the first time. Then we headed down to Florida to spend Christmas with Matt and Megan at their house. Christmas was great and the weather was warm, just a little rainy. Matt’s Wedding was a great time. It was fun getting all dressed up. Megan and Matt both looked great and it was a lot of fun seeing all the BG and D-town guys down there. We went to Bahama Breeze's late night after the wedding and needless to say I had a great time, so great that I don’t remember all of it, ha ha. We were also down there for New Year’s. We went out with a group of 16 of us to Bonefish Grill for dinner then hit up a place called Peabody’s. Matt’s friend is the manager there so we all got in free and had a reserved pool table and champagne. It was cool because one half of the bar is a dance club then there is a walk way that leads to the other half which is a sports bar with pool tables. So that was a lot of fun. We had great weather two days in a row so Josh and I hit up the pool and the beach. I got a little tan but it is starting to fad already. It was a great Vacation and we had so much fun. I love Tampa!! I think we are going to make that an annual Spring Break trip. (Yes I am planning on taking off when Josh has spring break, ha ha) I’m only attaching one picture since I sent you guys the link of all my pictures on Kodak gallery. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s. Nothing much is going on with us the next couple weeks. This is the slow time of year for us so we may try to get things done around the house like painting and rearranging some things.

Merry Christmas (almost) Everyone. Well I have fallen off of the blog world the past 2 months so I thought I would finally update. I guess I'll go back to Thanksgiving. We hosted it at our house and it turned out great. The food was delicious and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We had 9 for dinner then Josh's sister and her family came over later in the day. We ate dinner around 1:00 then watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and had some drinks and played games the rest of the night. (Melissa you know how us Ellinger's love our board games, ha ha) My Mom, grandma, and I all got up early and went shopping the day after T-giving. I got some great deals for Christmas. Saturday we decorated the house for Christmas and put up our Christmas tree. The house looks really good. Then Saturday evening Josh and I went to dinner with his parents and my parents to Carrabbas to celebrate our birthdays. I can't believe I am 26 years old now, GOSH!!! Then the fam head back to PA on Sunday. Moving on to December now, ha ha

Josh and I went to Hocking Hills and rented a cabin in the woods the first weekend in December. We do this every year instead of buying each other presents. It was a nice and relaxing weekend and I just love hot tubs in the winter. We have also been up to Canton this December to see Josh's cousin Tess in the Ballet The Nutcracker. She had a pretty big part this year so we went up to watch her and then Josh's aunt had a big party at their house for his family and other friends. You know the ballet was good when even Josh liked it. This past weekend Josh and I went to Happy Hour and then to the Columbus Zoo to see the Christmas lights. The weather has been so nice here we had to go. That is where this picture is from above. Then Saturday we took Olivia to do a build a bear at Easton for her Christmas present. She was so cute and had a lot of fun. Saturday night we had Christmas with Josh's really good family friends. We did a lot of drinking and playing games. Then Sunday was Patterson Christmas. We always do Christmas with Josh's family the weekend before when everyone is in town. So that was nice.

This week we are getting everything ready to go down to Florida. We leave early Friday morning and are stopping in Atlanta for the night to see Jason and Lisa and the girls, and my Mom and Dad. Then we are heading down to Tampa on Saturday to spend Christmas with Matt and Megan. Then Matt's Wedding is the Friday after Christmas. Both Josh and I are in the wedding so we are really looking forward to it. Plus we will be there until Jan 2nd so it is definitely a mini vacation. Ok well this may be the longest blog ever. I just had to get my picture taken with Santa. This is at Jodie's house. She had a Christmas party with 4 couples and their kids. It was a lot of fun. We had a nice Italian sit down dinner, then the girls had a little gift exchange. We then played some games like Compatibility and Loaded Questions which gets really fun once you've been drinking a lot.

Way to Go Buckeyes and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well I think we all are falling off the blogging world lately. I know I for sure have but I had some time at work so I thought I would write. Let's see not much has been going on with me. Me and 4 of my girlfriends started this cardio blast class down at the Rec Center every Tuesday and Thursday night. It's a pretty good class and I am really trying to get in shape for my brother's wedding in about a month in Tampa. Not so much losing weight as getting toned for my strapless dress :-) So that has been going good. The other weekend we had our annual Poker Party at our house. We had about 20 people over and it was a fun night that ended with closing down the bar. Those are always great nights. We got brand new Kitchen floors in our house. We use to have ugly white lanolium that always looked dirty. So we got Laminate wood floors and they look GREAT!!! It just makes the house look so much more modern and nice. This past weekend was the Big Ohio State/Michigan game which if you didn't hear about it you must live in a cave. So everyone around columbus was crazy all last week. We went to 2 different parties. Snake and his wife had a party at their place where we went earlier in the day. Then we went to our friend Alex and April's house to watch the game. They had a projector in their garage that was showing the game on the wall. It was pretty cool. And of course Ohio State won which was great and are going to the National Championship!!!! Yesterday was spent going to the grocery store and getting the house ready for Thanksgiving. Josh and I are hosting our very first Thanksgiving at our house. My Mom and Dad and Grandma are coming into town on Weds. Then we are also having Josh's parents and Grandma and his brother over for dinner. His sister and her family are coming over later in the day to visit and to play some cards and games. Then Friday my Mom, Grandma, and I are going to fight the crowds and go shopping. I haven't gone shopping the day after Thanksgiving in a long time so we'll see how that goes. And then Saturday both Josh and my families are going to Carrabbas to celebrate Josh and I's birthdays. I am going to gain 10 lbs this week with Thanksgiving, left overs, and Carrabbas, YUM!!!! Ok well this is long enough. I'll blog next week and let you know if I survived my 1st Thanksgiving in the Ellinger-Patterson house. Hopefully I won't go insanse with cooking and everyone in the house. We got 2 Turkeys to cook and they are already in the fridge thawing out, yum yum I can't wait to Thursday. Happy Early Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

BG Homecoming and Chicago

Well it's been a long time since I updated. This may be long, ha ha. Well I guess I'll go back to BG Homecoming. We tailgated all day by the Stadium then hit up Easystreet for dinner and some of the bars. I had sooooo much fun and it was GREAT seeing everyone and meeting their boyfriends. We are all so lucky to have such great guys in our lives!! Below are some pictures from BG and I can definitely say that the Octoberfest I was drinking kicked in during the picture taking time, ha ha. We will definitely have to make an effort to get together like that at least once a year, if not at BG we can take turns visiting each other across the country. I realized that I don't miss BG, I miss all of you!!!!

Last weekend Josh and I drove to Chicago for the weekend. We got in late Thursday night and stayed with my friend Kelsey at her apt. Friday we went downtown and explored the city all day. Hit up Millenium Park, Navy Pier, Michigan Ave, and we went on a Arcitecture Boat Cruise on the Chicago River. That was AWESOME!!! I definitely recommend it if you have never done that. We had lunch on Michigan Ave at the Grand Lux Cafe then went into a couple stores. Friday night we went to dinner with Kelsey and her boyfriend, and Heather and her boyfriend at a place called Sushi Samba. It was defenitely an interesting place, but we had a good dinner and had somed drinks at the bar on the roof. Then we met up with our high school friends Jenn and the bride to be Casey for a drink. Saturday was Casey's Wedding. We went to the wedding in the afternoon then went to a bar for some drinks and lunch until the reception. The reception was at the Hancock Building on the 95th floor which is called the Signature Room. It was so amazing. The view was unreal and the reception was very nice. We all had a great time. The we headed home Sunday. This past weekend we went to Jodie's for a Halloween Party. I don't have pictures yet so when I get them I'll tell you about the party and show some pictures. I hope all is well with everyone!!! miss you all.

Lots to Update

Ok well I have some down time so I thought I would update. I'll start at about 2 weeks ago. We had our co-ed softball tournament (finally) and we won our first two games to get the championship game. We ended up losing but played good. So we got 2nd place. Last week was the one and only Delaware County Fair :-) We went a couple times during the week to bet on some horse races and eat some fair food. Thursday last week was the Little Brown Jug. It's a really big horse race at the fair. Most people take off work and go up and pretty much tailgate all day or go into the grandstands and bet on the races. Our friends pitch in every year for a "tailgate" spot for the week. It is a long day of drinking and betting. So it was fun as usual. This year Olivia was big enough to go on the rides so below is a picture of her and Josh on the merry go round, and a picture of me at the Jug feeling pretty good. (if you can't tell from the picture)

My parents came into town this past weekend for the Ohio State/Penn State game. We got really early and went down to Ohio State to set up our tailgate spot. We tailgated all day until game time (see pics below). Josh and I had tickets to the game. It was a lot of fun even though it rained a bit. This weekend we are having people over to our house for the Ohio State game on Saturday. Probably play some corn hole in the afternoon if the weather is nice. That's about it from here. Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

Well we had a nice Labor Day weekend. Josh and I headed up to Canton on Friday and met up with Matt and Megan and some other BG guys at Johnsen's for a cookout. Then Saturday Megan and I headed back to DuBois for her Bridal Shower. It was really nice and she got some great stuff. Saturday night we just hung out with the Fam. Josh and Matt were in Cleveland all day Saturday for the BG football game and Matt's bachelor party. Sunday they came to DuBois and we all went to the annual Polish Festival. We walked around and of course ate some great polish food. Had a beer in the beer tent then went back to my parents to play some cards in the evening. Monday we headed back to Ohio and I helped Josh get his room finalized. He started school yesterday and he said it went really well. Nothing much planned for this weekend. Going to be watching the Big Penn State/Notre Dame game, and the Ohio State/Texas game. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Below are some pictures from PA.

Good News all around

Well I thought I better update so Kelley doesn't yell at me :-) There has been a lot going on the past couple weeks. The family reunion was fun last weekend. I ate a lot of food and played some cornhole and shuffle board. Josh's Dad went into surgery last week to remove the tumor in his pelvis. Well when they went in to remove it, it was no longer there. They think the chemo and radiation worked so well that is shrank it completely up. They did a check for cancerous cells and they was no trace of cancer in his system. So that was great news. Secondly, Josh got a job, YAY!!!! He got a job at Big Walnut Elementary teaching 3rd grade. It is one of the county schools in Delaware so it is only about 20 mintues from our house. So that was good news. I'm meeting him after work to help him get his classroom all together. They start school next Tuesday. And even some more good news, I got a promotion at work. My position I am currently in is an 11/12 (this is the pay scale in Government) and I was an 11. They promoted me up to the 12 which means more money so that is great. So we had some really good news last week. This past weekend we had Jodie and Buck's grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party. It was at their house and they had a big tent and a DJ, and open bar of course. It was so much fun. Then we all went out to the bar afterwards. If Kelly emails me some pictures I'll post them because I didn't have my camera. This Friday Josh and I are driving up to Canton. My brother and Megan are coming into town. We are meeting up with them at Matt Johnsen's house for a cookout then going out with some BG people. Saturday Megan and I are driving back to my parents house because we are having a bridal shower for her at my Mom's. Josh and Matt are going to Cleveland to tailgate for the BG/Wisconsin football game, then after the game they are going out in the Flat's for Matt's Bachelor party. Then they are driving to my parents house on Sunday and we are all going to the annual Polish Festival in DuBois, PA. We'll spend Labor Day at my parents then head back to Ohio. It should be a fun weekend. Ok well I hope all is well with everyone. Miss you all!!

Rascal Flatts Concert

Below are some pictures from the Rascal Flatts concert. I was on my way to work on Thursday and won tickets on the radio to the concert. I'm not the biggest fan but I like country music. They were the last concert in conjunction with the Ohio State Fair. So yesterday Josh and I went down to the Fair and walked around for about an hour and got some good fair food. Then we went to the concert last night. It was really good.
We had a good weekend. Friday night our softball game got canceled so Josh and I just stayed in for the night and made stromboli. Saturday was the 2nd Annual Trevor Ufferman Alumni soccer tournament. Molly and I played last year but decided to just watch this year. Then Saturday night we had a big cookout at Josh's parents house with his family. This weekend we are heading up to Canton to Josh's grandma's house and to a family reunion. That's it from me. Have a great week everyone.

Ok so I figured I would update. Let's see nothing too much has been doing on with me. Last week was Jodie's birthday so a couple of us girls went to dinner and then to the Backstretch for a couple drinks. This past weekend our softball game was cancelled again because of rain so Josh and I just relaxed and made Fajitas on Friday night. Saturday Josh went golfing in the morning so I went and tried on some bridesmaid dresses for my brother's Fiance Megan. Then did a little shopping at Target, Old Navy, and Filene's Basement. Then Saturday night Josh and I went to dinner with the gang that we went to Norris Lake with. Then everyone came back to our house for some drinks on the deck and then we played a game of Loaded Questions (which I may add is the best board game ever to play when you have been drinking) I suggest buying it. Then yesterday my wonderful husband made me breakfast in bed. I heard him downstairs doing something and the next thing I know he brings me up some pancakes he made and a flower. I was pleasantly surprised. Then we just went over to Josh's parents house for lunch with his family. We had a big blow up pool and Josh and I played in the pool with Olivia all afternoon.
This weekend we are going back to my paren't s house in PA to visit and go boating. We haven't been back there all summer so I'm looking forward to visiting with the Fam and boating all weekend. Ok well that is a good update from me. The pictures are of when we went out for Jodie's Birthday last week. Have a great week everyone. Don't work too hard.

Norris Lake

We are back from our wonderful trip to Norris Lake, TN. We left Friday morning and got to our house around 4:30. The house was a beautiful big log cabin with a big deck that overlooked the lake. There was 10 of us that went down. 4 couples and two other guys. We grilled out for dinner and needless to stay all got shit faced Friday night. We had a serious dance party and had all 10 of us in a six person hot tub at 2:30am. Saturday and Sunday we were out on the boats all day. We had two boats down there so we went tubing a lot, but mainly anchored the boats in a cove and hung out on the boats and in the water most of the day drinking some beers and cocktails. I got pretty sunburnt the second day. Our night consisted of grilling out for dinner and a lot of drinking and playing cards or games. It was a great trip and we had a lot of fun. I think we are going to make it an annual trip. Below are some pictures and more on Flickr.

Vacation/Conference was great. We got into Hilton Head Thursday afternoon. Went to the beach all afternoon. Then headed out for some seafood for dinner. Friday we went to the beach all day and relaxed. Then went to San Miguel’s for some Margaritas for Happy Hour and had dinner overlooking the Marina. It was really nice and good. Saturday we just laid out at the hotel pool all day which is right on the beach basically. And for anyone who has gone to Hilton Head you know about the Tikki Hut right on the beach. It's basically a beach bar where a guy or band usually plays songs by request. So we were hanging out there in the afternoon (it is at our hotel). Saturday evening we went out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We went to Marley's Island Grille which was great. The atmosphere is awesome. It's like being at a place in the Bahamas. Then we went out afterwards for a little putt-putt challenge. Sunday was our anniversary and we got up and walked on the beach. Then when we got back to our room the hotel had brought us up champagne and strawberries for our anniversary and it was sitting on the bed. So that was awesome. Then we exchanged presents. I got Josh a new set of golf clubs, and he got me a personalized photo album that says "The Pattersons" on it and a coach purse I wanted, and hotel suite in Columbus for Red, White and Boom. Which I'll blog about later this week. Anyway we went to the pool/beach in the morning then left in the afternoon to go to Savannah. Since this blog is turning into a novel I'll speed the rest of the vacation up. We went to a reception for my conference Sunday night at Tybee Island Light House, and then Mon-Weds was my conference. We just went out to dinner and explored Savannah every night. Then we headed to D.C. on Thursday and were in D.C. for the remainder of the weekend. We went sightseeing, to a baseball game, the zoo, and went out to dinners. It was a great 10 day trip!!! Below are some pictures from Vacation and more on Flicker.

This place was seriously so weird. It was like going to a place in the bayou of Louisiana. They had little alligators in a pond in the front and the place had cats everywhere. Seriously like when you were eating you would see like 3 cats around you. But the weird thing is that this place is famous and there were like a lot of higher class people there. I don’t know I’m glad we went so we could see this place but I’ll never go back.

Vacation Here I Come

Ok well I guess I have a lot to update everyone on since I haven't blogged in over 2 weeks. I'll go all the back to Deer Creek. We had a great time there for the weekend. We just grilled out a bunch, played some cornhole, and drank beer. We had a good Memorial day weekend too. Josh's family has a block party at their house every year so we went to that, and then we also had a cookout at our friend Matt and Jacquie's. Then actual Memorial day since it was soooooo hot, we went over to Jodie's grandparents pool all day which was really nice. We didn't do much this past weekend. Our softball game was canceled because of rain for the 3rd week in a row. We just met up with some friends and went to dinner Friday and we had a family friend's graduation party Saturday.
This Sunday is Josh and I's 1 year Anniversary. So Wednesday after work we are leaving and heading down to Hilton Head for 4 days and spending our anniversary there. Then I have a Finance Conference in Savannah next Mon-Thurs. Then we are heading up to D.C. after that to spend Father's Day with my Dad and we'll be there for 3 days. Then it is back to Ohio. So we have a nice little 10 day trip ahead of us. I can't wait!!!! I'll post some pictures when I get back.

Golf Outing and Deer Creek

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I guess we've all been busy lately. This past weekend was the "First Annual Trevor Ufferman Golf Outing". It sucked that it rained but we had a great turnout and made over $10,000 profit towards the sholarship fund in his honor. It was sad because we all wished he would have been there with us, but it was nice to see all of his friends in one place again and having some drinks and laughs. It was a great day and I had a lot of fun golfing with Josh, Buck, and Kelly. Sorry I didn't take any pictures but I think they are posting some on the website later. I'll let you know.
This weekend our softball team group is going to Deer Creek State Park for the weekend. We have 10 couples/families going. We got 3 cottages between us. It's Josh and I, Buck and Kelly, and Kate, Doug, and the kids in our cabin. We are heading down after work on Friday. Grilling out burgers and brats Friday night and probably just building a fire, having some drinks, and relaxing. Saturday the guys are going golfing and the girls are going to the pool all day. Outdoor pool if it is warm enough, if not the indoor pool. Saturday night the plan is to grill out the good stuff (chicken, steaks, fish) and then just hangout, play cards, drink some beers or whatever. The we will head home Sunday afternoon. It should be a lot of fun so I'm looking forward to going. Ok well that is my update.

Here he is Connor Cash Nelson. Josh and I said that we are going to call him Cash instead of Connor. I think the name is so cute. We went over to Doug and Kate's last night. All of Kate's girlfriends have been taking turns making them dinner so they can relax the first two weeks. So last night I made them chicken and wild rice and they invited us to stay and eat with them. I got to visit with the baby and I got to feed him. He really doesn't look like anyone yet. I kind of see Doug in him a little bit. But of course from my pictures below you will see we had to take pictures of the diva too :-)
Tonight we have our first co-ed softball game, then it's out to the bar to have some drinks for Cinco de mayo. We kind of are celebrating it tomorrow since we have a game tonight. Tomorrow we are having a progressive dinner. Appetizers are at my house. We are having chips and salsa and make your own quesadillas with the ques maker. Then we go to my friend Jacquie's for the main course. She is having tacos and fajitas. Then we end the night at our friend Mindy's for dessert, drinks, and games/cards. It should be fun. Well I haven't updated lately because I didn't have really anything to write. My weekend was good. Friday Josh and I went to dinner with his Mom and then went to see the High School musical. They did CATS and it was really good. I've seen it on broadway twice and they sounded really good to me. Then we met some people out at the bar. Saturday I went shopping for new summer work clothes. 3 hrs and $250 later I was home, but I got a lot of really cute things. I got like 5 pairs of pants/gauchos and like 10 tops. There was some serious sales. Saturday night we met up with some friends at Easton and went to Adobe Gilas for drinks and dinner. It was a good time. Sunday Josh and I did spring cleaning. We cleaned out all the closets and everything and got things ready to sell at a yard sale and we completely cleaned the whole house. Plus we did yard work too. The house looks great now. All we need to do is plant some flowers which we'll do this weekend.
Kate and the baby are doing good. I haven't taken any more pictures of him but I'm making dinner for them Thursday so I'll try to remember to take my camera over there to get some more pictures. He's a lot cuter with real clothes on. I think we're going golfing tonight. Got to get ready for the golf outing which is a week from Saturday.

Well I had a good weekend. Friday I got off work early and went and saw Kate and the baby. He is so cute. Then Friday night Josh's grandma and aunt were in town so we just went over to his parents and ordered pizza and wings. Saturday I went to my friend Jenn's Wedding Shower. She is one of my really good friends from High School. Then later that evening was her Bachelorette Party. We started the night having appetizers and drinks at her friend's house in Columbus. Then they had a Sex Toy party. A lady came in and you passed a bunch of stuff around. Just like a pampered chef party. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend it for Bachelorette parties. Then we headed down to Columbus and went bar hopping. Tt was a lot of fun. I'm attaching some pictures. Well this is baby week for the Patterson family. We will be getting a new family member on Thursday (that is if Kate doesn't go in the next 2 days) She will be induced Thursday morning at 7:00am. So that is the excitement for this week. They are going to name him Connor.
Friday we didn't end up going bowling. The plans kind of fell through which sucked because I was looking forward to going. But instead Kelly, Josh, and I went to dinner at Brewskie's sport bar and had some drinks. Then went to the Final Score bar and had a couple drinks there. The DJ that was at my wedding was in there playing music. Saturday we had a cookout and Easter Egg hunt at Doug's parents house in the country. They have a pond and tons of land. The weather was beautiful and it was a lot of fun. We just had some beers and relaxed in the sun. I actually got a bad farmer's tan on my arms. The Easter Egg hunt was really cute. Everyone filled 12 eggs with goodies in them and Doug's Dad hid them before all the kids came up. So there were tons of eggs everywhere and all the kids took off and collected them. After that we went to our friends to play some cornhole and hangout.
Unfortunately Josh's Dad had to go to the hospital on Saturday afternoon. He was really dehydrated. So Sunday we woke up and went to church at 7:30. We stopped at Kroger and got Josh's Mom and Dad a really nice bouquet for easter and took it down to the hospital. We visited there for a bit then brought Josh's Mom back to Delaware. We had Easter lunch at Josh's parents house with Kate, Doug, and Olivia. Josh's Dad is still in the hospital but should be coming home today or tomorrow.
Well that was my weekend. It was a good time. I'll update on Friday and post a picture of the new baby.

Well nothing much new here. My nephew will be here very soon though. Kate has been having contractions and will probably go into labor here in the next couple days. If she doesn't go naturally she will get induced next Thursday. I can't wait to have another baby around :-)
Work has been really slow today but I'm glad it is Friday. I think we are going out to dinner with some friends tonight and then bowling. I really like bowling especially when the bowling ally has a full bar in it. Makes it much more exciting. We are actually staying town this year for Easter. Not sure I've done that in a couple years. We usually go to my parents but they are in Atlanta with Jason and Lisa. Tomorrow we're going to a cookout/Easter Egg hunt for the kids. And hopefully if the weather stays warm Josh and I will get to go golfing. Maybe my new shoes will arrive Saturday and I can test them out. Sunday we're just planning on going to Josh's parents for Easter and hanging out there all day. Everyone have a great weekend and Happy Easter!!!

Well I'm glad it is Friday even thought this has been a crazy not normal week for me. Last weekend was a lot of fun. Friday we didn't end up going to Josh's parents because his Dad was feeling sick, so Josh and I just got two movies (crash and weather man) ordered some pizza and had a bottle of wine. Saturday we went and got a computer desk, yay. And Josh put that together while I cleaned the house. We went to Hencocks bar for dinner and drinks with Rob and Jackie, Workman and Trimble. Then after the first basketball game we went back to our house to play some cards. Josh won both times which I didn't mind since he got $130.
Monday night Josh and I drove up to Cleveland to visit with his Mom and Dad. I think I told everyone, but if I didn't Josh's Dad is up at the Cleveland Clinic getting chemo and radiation treatments. They found a cancerous mass in his pelvis so they are trying to shrink it before they can go in and remove it. Luckily the cancer has not spread to any other part of hid body so once they remove it he should be fine. So he is up in Cleveland during the week days and home on the weekends. This is his last week so Josh and I went up Monday and stayed the night and spent all day Tuesday with him and Josh's Mom. Wednesday I was at the University of Cincinnati for the day doing recruiting at their career fair. Then last night we went to dinner with Molly and calling hours for Jodie's great grandma who passed away on Tuesday. She was 96 yrs old. So it has been a weird week.
Josh and I have no real plans this weekend. Tonight if the weather holds up, we are going to go on a walk. We had Olivia yesterday after work and we took her on a walk with us and to the park to play. I think we are going to rent some movies tonight. Tomorrow we are going shopping for some things for the house. It's hard to believe a year later we still don't have some things done with the house that we would like. No real plans for tomorrow evening. Sunday I think we may go golfing. I have to get ready for Trevor's golf outing. Josh and I are playing with Kelly and Buck so that should be fun. It's Warm

Well it is actually going to be warm today. It's supposed to get up to 70. I think I'll go on a walk outside on my afternoon break. Which I'll need to do after lunch. We are having Danotos pizza today and watching the Disney movie Miracle. It's the one about the USA Hockey team. I guess it is for some leadership thing at work. Hey I'll never complain about eating pizza and watching a movie at work. Well the weekend at my parents was great. We had a really good time and their house is great. My Mom is actually a really good decorator. It is going to be a great house when we all have kids running around at Grandma and Grandpa's. I think that was actually part of the reason for moving as well. Nothing too exciting this week. Josh and I went to wing night on Tuesday which is new for us. We usually don't eat out during the week. Today I have a hair appt after work, then Josh and I are going to go on a really long walk instead of the gym and take advantage of this weather. Tomorrow Josh's Dad will be back in town so we are heading over to his parents for dinner. I think we are having a fish fry which I'm excited for. His dad makes the best fish, with homemade fries and hushpuppies. Saturday Josh and I will be on a mission to find a computer desk. We bought a new computer two weeks ago and it has been sitting in our guest room. So we want to go get a desk this weekend and set up the computer. Then we are meeting up with friends at the new bar in D-town to watch the final four games. This is the same bar the stool broke on me so I'll have to watch myself this time. Then I think everyone is coming back to our house to play some poker. So that should be fun. Well that's enough updating for now. I won't be on my computer tomorrow because I have a meeting at the State all day, so Everyone have a great weekend.

Well this is where I wish I was right now. Relaxing in the pool bar at Sandals drinking a Lemon Vodka Slushie. INSTEAD, I'm at my computer at work and outside the weather is 30 degrees. It's Spring time, that means we should have warm weather. But anyway. My weeks been going good. I'm proud to say that Josh and I have been to the gym everyday this week and plan to go today after work. It just feels good to be back on a normal work out schedule. Tonight we are busting out our quesadilla maker and having quesadillas and spanish rice while we watch the basketball games. I know I'm a dork but I'm really happy they are back on tonight. Then tomorrow after work we are off to my parent's house in PA for the weekend. They got a new house in the same neighborhood just on the lake now. So we are going to see the house and visit. My dad did our taxes and we got a really good return so we told him we'd take him out to dinner Saturday. I think he wants to go to Red Lobster which is fine with me. I've kind of been craving seafood lately. Well that is about all with me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. The day is going by so fast at work and I am really glad about that. I'm getting off at 2:30 today then going with Kelly to the bar to meet up with the guys. They are actually at the bar as I speak drinking green beer and getting ready for the baskeball games to start. Go Buckeyes! We're just going to the Old Bag of Nails tonight. I'm pretty sure they have more sturdy bar stools than the last bar I was at. And what is with this snow on St. Patty's day. It was like this two years ago too. But hopefully it is warm and sunny this time next year for Miss O'Hara's Wedding. Everyone have a fun St. Patty's day and weekend.

I can't believe it is only Tuesday. I guess the week always goes by slow when you are looking forward to the weekend. My weekend was good. Friday night I went out and got a lot more drunk than I expected. We met Jodie and Buck out because their uncle who is awesome was in town from Canada. So we went to Happy Hour at Old Bag of Nails, then to a new bar in D-town. I probably could have slowed down after the 3 Blue Moon drafts at Old Bag, but I didn't. We met up with some other friends at the bar and it was one of those nights were you just sit and talk and the next thing you know you've downed like 8 Miller Lites. And the shot Buck bought us of yager didn't help out either. Needless to say I was pretty hungover on Saturday and I haven't felt like that in a long time. And a funny story to add for that night was that Jodie came down to the bar to get her keys from Buck and she has Tyler with her (her 3 yr old) When he saw me he came and ran and jumped up on my lap for me to pick him up. Well I am sitting on a bar stool which is kind of high off the ground and the next thing I know I hear this loud bang and Tyler and I are on the floor. I looked over and the stool completely broke in half. My ass hit the ground so fast and I have the biggest bruise on my butt. I'm just glad Tyler didn't bang his head on the table on the way down. You know I do know some good lawyers, maybe I should sue, ha ha.
Saturday we had the memorial service which was really nice. It was closure for Aaron and Heather and that was good. They are going to try to have another baby this summer which is good news.
This week I'm excited for March Madness. Josh and I both get really into it. He is actually taking off Friday to go watch the games at the bar all day. I'm not going that far, but I am getting off like an hour early since it is St. Patty's Day. A bunch of us are just meeting at the Old Bag of Nails which is an Irish Pub, and will be celebrating there all night. I'm sure we'll be out in full force Friday so I'm assuming our Saturday will consist of sitting on the couch watching basketball games eating some greasy food :-) Sounds good to me. I thought it was time I put up a new post. Nothing much exciting has been going on with me. I've been pretty busy at work so that is good. I hate when I don't have much to do, the time goes by slow. I changed my work schedule from 7:00-3:30. This way I can meet Josh at the gym after work and still be home to make dinner by 6:00. I'm an early eater. I am inteviewing someone this afternoon. He is a college student from the University of Toledo. I guess he is trying to get into the same program I did after college and we have to interview him at our office for our Headquarters office in D.C. That should make the afternoon go by fast. Last night we had a meeting to oganize a golf outing to raise money for Trevor's Scholarship fund. I'll let everyone know details when we figure everything out if you would want to play or make donations. This weekend not much is going on. It is supposed to be in the 60s here on Friday, so Josh and I are going to play golf after work as long as it doesn't rain. Then probably go out for dinner and some drinks. Saturday we have the Memorial Service for Aaron and Heather's baby. Then I think we are having Olivia for the night because Doug and Kate are going out for Doug's birthday. So that should be fun. She is getting so big and talks a lot now. She's like a little person :-) Ok well that is all I have to say I guess. A pretty boring post I know. Ok well have a good week everyone.

Florida Trip

Florida was great. We arrived Sunday evening with our luggage which is always a good start. Monday Josh went golfing while the girls went to the Disney Grand Floridian resort for Tea. It was really nice and elegant. We all got dressed up and went to this little fancy room with beautiful china. We had tea and little sandwhiches and pastries. Monday evening Josh and I went to Downtown Disney and had dinner at the House of Blues which was great. We then went to Pleasure Island and had a couple drinks and listend to music. Tuesday was a day to relax in the sun, and in the evening we went to the Disney Polynesian Luau. The food was really good and so was the show. Wednesday we spent the morning at Epcot and the rest of the day at MGM studios. I love that Tower of Terror and made Josh ride is 3 times withe me. I know he loved it, ha ha. Thursday we went to the Magic Kingdom where Josh and I got in free because we have a family friend of the Patterson's who works there. We rode rides all morning and just when I thought the vacation was perfect, what happens????? I get hit with a stomach virus. I was going into the country bears jamboree and I had to leave because I felt like I had to puke. I tried to hang out another hour at the park but then finally had to go home. So needless to say I spend Thursday afternoon and evening on the couch. Friday we went to Tampa with Matt and Megan. the boys went golfing and us girls were supposed to lay out but it was overcast that day. So we just relaxed in the afternoon which I didn't mind since I was still kind of sick. Friday night we went to dinner and met up with Reese and his roommate at the Chick a Boom Room for some drinks. Saturday was beautiful so we went to the pool all day, then headed over to Clearwater Beach to see the sunset and have dinner at Frenchy's Beach girlle. Then we had to fly back at 6:45am Sunday. YUCK!!! And even though I was sick for a day or two, the vacation still was much needed and we had a great time!! Josh and I are thinking of making Tampa an annual spring break trip. I love it down there and can't wait for Matt's wedding in December. Below are some pictures from the trip. I didn't take as many pictures that I would have liked to.

These are the flowers Josh sent to me at work. I can't wait for them to bloom, they will be gorgeous. We had a nice Valentine's Day. I woke up yesterday and had a single red rose with a cookie cake in the shape of a heart on the kitchen table. (I think somethings wrong when you get excited about food on Valentine's Day, ha ha) Then last night he had to work late so after work I made dinner and chilled a bottle of wine. I Just lit bunch of candles and we had our own candle light dinner at home. Then we just built a fire and drank some wine. It was a great night. Happy belated Valentine's Day to all my girls!!! Well this was a fun weekend. Mainly due to Molly's Birthday Bash on Saturday. 3 of Molly's friends from College came into town this weekend so I planned a surprise birthday night for Molly with them. The night started out at Molly's. I met her and the girls down at her Condo. She thought we were just going to dinner, but little did she know there was a Limo waiting for her outside with 4 other of her girlfriends waiting for us. So of course she was surprised about that. We just had champagne and some cheese, crackers, and strawberries in the Limo. We drove around Downtown Columbus for about an hour and a half then we went to dinner at Martini's downtown. We had a great dinner, then it was off to Char Bar where we organized a surprise party with over 50 of her friends. She was so surprised. Every single one of our friends showed up and we just had many drinks and a fun night. She's had a rough year and deserved a great night out. It was a fun night, and even more because I haven't been out in Columbus in a long time, so it was nice to get dressed up and have a great dinner and night out with everyone. Sunday was nice too because all Josh and I did was lay around all day. We weren't really that hungover but it felt good to have a day to do absoluetly nothing and eat McDonald's and pizza. I didn't even feel one bit guilty about it, Ha Ha.
Well this time next week I will hopefully be laying by the pool in Orlando. We fly out Sunday night and we'll be in Orlando Sun-Thursday. We are going to Disney for two days and then just lounging around for a couple days. Friday Josh and I are going down to Tampa and we'll be there for 2 days. Then we fly back Sunday morning. I'm looking forward to it, especially since the weather is so cold here lately. (Missy I'll be thinking about you while I'm at Disney. I know we are both big kids at heart and love Disney World)

Way to go Steelers!!!! This is a picture of me with my Gold and Black on (well yellow because I don't have anything gold) This is a Steelers cookie that Josh and I bought to take to our super bowl party. We had a good time. I didn't get to meet up with Kelley and Melinda due to the horrible weather that hit Ohio this weekend, YUCK!! I almost forgot what snow looked liked. But we will reschedule on a nicer weekend. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Well I'm glad it is Friday. Hopefully the day goes by fast. Tonight Josh has a game at 5:00, then we are going to dinner with Josh's family for his sister's birthday. We are going to Mongolian Barbeque which I've never been to but I heard it is good. Then I think she wants to go bowling afterwards. I guess there is only so many things a pregnant woman can do for fun on her birthday. At least they sell beer for us at the Bowling Alley. Tomorrow Kelley and Melinda are coming to Columbus. We are going to Easton to shop and to have some drinks and dinner. I can't wait to see them and catch up. Sunday we are laying low for the super bowl. Since I actually really want to watch this year since the Steelers are in it we are just going to make some stromboli and watch it. We are going to Florida in a little over two weeks and I am so ready to go. Our whole family is going down to Orlando for a couple days then going down to Tampa to see Matt for a couple days. I think Josh and I are going down to Tampa a day earlier than the Fam, so we are going to meet up and go out Matt and Megan, and Dave and Reese. It should be fun. Megan sent me some pictures of bridesmaid dresses yesterday and her wedding dress. All of them are beautiful. Her theme is Black, White and Silver since it is New Year's weekend. I told her I look slimming in black. Ha ha.
Josh has been subbing the past two weeks and it keeps him busy with a job everyday. He officially got his teaching license mid January. I'm kind of jealous because he said it is actually a lot of fun going to the different schools. He has been teaching 2nd grade all the way up to High School. I can't wait until he subs at our old High School. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Ok so I had this really weird dream last night. It took place at my house in BG from my junior year on Clough st (where Me, Jessica, and Rebecca lived) Well for some reason I was there right now in time, and Rebecca showed up and she was pregnant. Isn't that weird. I haven't talked that girl in over a year. I wonder if it's true and I am psychic. Just kidding.

1. What did you do in 2005 that you’d never done before? Gosh there is a lot, got married, bought a house, bought a car etc.
2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don’t remember if I had a new year’s resolution last year, but my one for this year is the same as most people’s, try to loose some weight and stay healthy. I’m in my brother’s wedding in December so I have one year to get to where I want to be in a bridesmaid dress and swimsuit in Florida.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope not this year, but I have a niece and a nephew on the way for next year.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Unfortunately Yes.
5. What countries did you visit? Jamaica
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? Two incomes. Josh finally graduated so we are on our way there.
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? It’s kind of obvious but June 11th. I got married.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I guess getting married if that is an achievement and buying a house. I think that is big achievement in life and financially.
9. What was your biggest failure? I’ve had a very blessed year, so nothing major comes to mind. Perhaps that I just completely stopped working out for 3 months and gained like 5-10 pounds. But I’m back on track now.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major
11. What was the best thing you bought? House, Car, and our honeymoon. It was the best week of our lives. I’m glad we decided to go all out instead of being cheap about it.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Molly. She was the best maid of honor and went all out on my showers and bachelorette party. I’ll remember those forever.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Don’t know about that one.
14. Where did most of your money go? House, bills, car, student loans.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? I was really excited that all of you could make it to my wedding. It means a lot that everyone made the effort to come from out of town. Thanks!!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2005? That stupid Kelly Clarkson song: Since you’ve been gone.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:I. happier or sadder? happier II. thinner or fatter? Well thinner than last year at this time, but heavier then I was 6 months ago. Sooooo II. richer or poorer? I make more money, but with a house, car, and husband I guess I’m poorer.

New Year's Eve

This is Josh and I New Year's Eve at our friends Alex and April's house. We ended up going down there for appetizers and apple martinis, then headed to Easton for dinner at Brio. Our dinner was fabulous. It was nice because we did the long dinner with drinks and appetizers, salads, then our meal. Then we headed back to Delaware around 11:00 to go to a friend's house to watch the ball drop and play some cards. It was a nice relaxing night. Nothing much going on with me in the next couple weeks so I probably won't be blogging. But I'll check everyone elses. Happy New Year to Everyone!!! Let's try to all get together sometime here soon this year.
